Anime Highschool of the Dead là một trong những bộ phim nổi tiếng nhất trong thể loại hành động, siêu nhiên và kinh dị được phát sóng vào năm 2011. Sau khi bộ phim được phát sóng khán giả đã vô cùng mong đợi được đồng hành tới chặng kết đối với bộ phim. Nhưng đã 8 năm rồi… những điều khán giả nhận được vẫn chỉ là hai chữ “chờ đợi”.
1. Nỗi buồn đằng sau sự sáng tạo!!!
Highschool of the Dead được chuyển thể từ bộ manga cùng tên của Daisuke Satō và Shōji Satō. Truyện được đăng tải từ tháng 9 năm 2006 đến tháng 5 năm 2013 sau đó đi vào gián đoạn do sức khỏe của nhà văn Daisuke Satō không được đảm bảo. Đến ngày 22 tháng 3 năm 2023 toàn thể người hâm mộ của manga lẫn anime chết lặng khi thông tin nhà văn Sato đã qua đời để lại câu chuyện còn dang dở.
Madhouse đã chuyển thể bộ truyện thành 12 tập TV Anime và phát sóng vào năm 2010. Năm 2011, Madhouse tiếp tục cho ra mắt một OVA. Và đó là tất cả những gì khán giả có được.
Vào ngày 11 tháng 12 năm 2023, trong một cuộc phỏng vấn độc quyền với trang Comic Natalie, Shoji Sato – người phụ trách vẽ cho Highschool of the Dead đã thông báo đến khán giả rằng “việc tiếp tục câu chuyện gốc là gần như không thể nào”. Như vậy đến thời điểm này, chúng ta có thể chắc chắn một điều rằng Highschool of the Dead sẽ là một câu chuyện chưa (hoặc không bao giờ) có hồi kết.
2. Thông tin về Highschool of the Dead Season 2
Trong suốt 8 năm qua, đã có rất rất nhiều suy đoán về phần tiếp theo của Highschool of the Dead nhưng câu trả lời của nhà sản xuất vẫn là “chưa có động tĩnh gì”. Mặc dù Madhouse đã xóa bỏ đi “lời nguyền mùa thứ hai” nhưng có vẻ hãng này vẫn chưa mặn mà gì cho dự án Highschool of the Dead season 2. Vậy khả năng mùa thứ hai là như thế nào. Câu trả lời là “hầu như không thể”. Vì vậy tất cả chúng ta chờ đợi chỉ còn lại là niềm tin mà thôi. Mặc dù rất buồn khi phải đối diện với sự thật này… Nhưng rõ ràng có lẽ mùa thứ hai sẽ như manga gốc, sẽ là một câu chuyện dang dở khiến bao người nuối tiếc…
