Mới đây, Tạp chí Newtype đã công bố bảng xếp hạng sơ bộ cho Newtype Anime Awards 2017-2018. Theo đó, khả năng rất lớn Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online sẽ trở thành Anime xuất sắc nhất năm. Bảng xếp hạng này dựa trên bình chọn của khán giả cho các bộ anime được ra mắt từ tháng 10 năm 2024 đến tháng 9 năm 2024. Hạn chót để khán giả bình chọn là ngày 27 tháng 8 tới đây.
